about

"The Last Man of Fukushima" is an album of my selected compositions written between 2006 and 2015. It features academic music (Nocturne 3 for Cello, Musical Moment 2 and Rhapsody, both for Bass Clarinet), Ragtime (Xylorag and New Orleans Song), as well as pieces that could be described as being between classical and jazz music genres.

Special thanks to Luis Caballero (cello), Pablo Pascual (bass clarinet) and illustrator Kristina Sabaite for making this project possible.

This CD is dedicated to Naoto Matsumura, “Guardian of Fukushima’s Animals” during and after the Nippon tragedy.

The project was selected as a finalist in "The III Martín Códax Music Awards" in the classical music category.
